I returned to my #1 favorite book... DIARY OF A WIMPY KID!
after depressing myself by reading the horrible true journeys of drug and crystal meth addicts I have decided to start reading the diary of a wimpy kid book. In this book Greg Heffley 's main issue is his own personal economic chaos. Trying to support his virtual family, an online animal support game he tries to please his chihuahua that gets sad or depressed when he doesn't have new stuff. Not enfocusing on the actual book I wanted to discuss a subject: how far would we go to make someone we care about happy.
Many teenagers have a girlfriend or boyfriend that since they "hooked" up they have to be together all the time, and the male in the relationship (LOL) always have to pay the bill or the one that has to sugar coat the female. But why? Why is it that it's just WRONG if we don't? My response to this is simple: sexism and ignorance. From long before in the Shakespeare era, the male always hooked up with the mate, made the charm happen, or made the first move, but what if the girl has to do the first move? Does it really make us less "man" by letting this happen. Are we really trying to feed our ego's to keep doing a stupid ritual?
Many kids want to be known. Plain and simple. They don't want to be hidden away, or in other words, everyone wants to be famous. But how far are you willing to go and actually change who you are to please or fit in with the crowd your in or want to be in? How far are you willing to go to be cool? I think that one should be themselves because if someone is smart or talented that should be enough good recognition instead of the daring bad recognition one should have to be known out in public.
Don't change or don't stretch yourself out for other people. Good night bloggers!!!!
